About

The Creative Practice Circle is an official research group that sits within the Faculty of Arts and Education at Charles Sturt University.

The CPC consists of mid-career researcher practitioners; early career researcher practitioners and higher degree students who use creative practice at various points in their research process – creative practice as research; creative practice as an object of study; creative practice as data collection; creative practice derived from research outcomes. Circle members work with visual art materials, natural objects, poetry, creative prose, crochet, collage, textiles, radio and sound, found and made images.

We meet mainly online. While most members are residents of regional areas in New South Wales and Victoria, Australia, we do have members from Australia’s capital cities and overseas.

Current members of the group include Dr Jennifer Munday, Dr Louise Curham, Michelle O’Connor, Jock Cheetham, Dr Barbel Ulrich, Dr Louisa Waters and Tracy Sorensen.
