Dr Jennifer Munday is an Associate Professor teaching in the disciplines of Creative Arts, and Technology. Jennifer’s academic work and contribution are focused on “Developing and implementing innovative curriculum, learning and teaching models.” (University Strategy 2022 refocus) She has built a reputation within and beyond the CSU community as progressive in online, flexible, and distance education. Her contributions include publication and investigation in the scholarship of teaching in online learning, particularly in regard to the value of ePortfolios and reflective practice. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Jennifer is engaged in the following research projects:

• 1) Making ePortfolios relevant: developing a Professional identity: investigation into the value of online learning spaces and ePortfolios for Secondary students in the performing arts to future employability or Higher Education study. Collaboration with the Flying Fruit Fly Circus School, and Certificate III in Circus Arts students at Wodonga Senior Secondary College.
• 2) CSU collaboration with Southern Cross University: MayDay Hills Research: The former Beechworth Lunatic Asylum still retains a ‘sense of place’ despite it’s interesting history. The project includes arts-based research, history, genealogy, women and mental health, and emotional geography. The research group are also collaborating with academics from the School of Communication and Creative Industries to create a virtual tour website of Mayday Hills and Beechworth Cemetery.
• 3) Jenni is a founding member of the Creative Practice Circle at CSU which comprises mid-career, early-career, and research Higher Degree students engaged in Arts-Based research. Their theme in 2020 is “Listening in the Anthropocene” https://arts-ed.csu.edu.au/education/creative-practice-circle/home

Jennifer is on the Editorial Board for the AAEEBL ePortfolio Review (AePR), which is the magazine of the Association for Authentic, Experiential and Evidence-Based Learning, and FusionJournal http://www.fusion-journal.com/; She is currently the International Liaison Coordinator for the International Centre for Women Playwrights, where she is also on the Social Media Committee. She has also served on the Arts Victoria Advisory Panel as a Reviewer of Dance/Physical Theatre funding applications; She is a member of the Management Committee for Write Around the Murray (WAM), Albury-Wodonga Writers Festival.
