Will Dobud’s doctoral research focused on the experiences of adolescents worldwide who engaged in outdoor therapy services. To collect data of people’s lived experiences, Will utilised the qualitative methodology of narrative inquiry. While ambiguous in specific methods of data collection and analysis, narrative inquiry is distinctly grounded in a strong pragmatic theoretical framework which honours lived experience. This brief discussion will explore how this philosophical stance bridges various ways of knowing and research methods.
